MEET THE EDITOR
9 Line Editing was created by a young author with a love for editing syntax, reading novels, writing narratives, and helping others in their writing endeavors.
Hi there, I'm Emma!
As a young author, I often find myself correcting even the smallest of grammatical mistakes, and when people began asking me to edit their works, I found that I quite enjoyed doing it. I decided that I wanted to expand my horizons with this hobby, and thus came this website to create a small business! I'm currently working alone on this site and have no plans of expanding as of now, but that may change in the future if 9 Line Editing gets more popular!

I enjoy playing particular video games, reading, collecting books and coffee mugs, the occasional doodle (though I am NOT an artist), and pulling all-nighters to write my own novels. As of right now, I have four set projects in the works: a standalone fantasy novel, a vampire trilogy, a single urban fantasy, and another vampire piece with a twist. I also have a poetry book published called 100 Clocks: A Memoir. Alongside writing, I’m an avid reader with an ever-growing collection of books with everything from Thomas Harris’s The Silence of the Lambs to James Islington’s The Shadow of What Was Lost, so I’d say my variety is pretty decent! I love to engage in book discussions, so feel free to take the opportunity to chat and learn a little more about me.

I'm a young woman who absolutely LOVES cats, and that's kind of where the name for this business came from! A good friend of mine intertwined two things I like—cats and editing—and I actually fell in love with the name 9 Line Editing (because of their 'nine lives' stereotype and all), though now I don't associate it with cats. I have four cats and a dog at home (a German Shepherd named Otto), so I’m very much an animal lover; I plan to have all sorts of pets in the future!

When it comes to writing, I primarily focus on fantasy fiction & vampire fiction, but I've edited multiple genres—fantasy, horror, thriller, mystery, etc. People I've worked for have liked my adjustments, so I thought, "Why not make something out of this?" So here I am!

I'm willing to edit basically everything from narratives to informational articles but specialize in creative writing, as I have much more experience there. This isn't as simple as running your work through a spell-check, either. I'm a living person you can discuss your work with.
Thank you for getting to get to know me and taking the time to check my site! If you decide to request any of my services, I hope you enjoy my work! Have an amazing day and keep writing.
