KEY DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW...
Here are some details you should look over before finalizing any decisions.

Please submit all manuscripts in English, as 9 Line Editing doesn't have translators for other languages.

When we finish the editing for you, we ask that you credit us to any publishers you submit to. It helps grow 9 Line Editing's opportunities to work with more writers and authors.

Keep us up to date with your work! If you decide to publish after we've worked with you, send us an email of the news;
we'll celebrate with you! Hearing about the success of others is a great way to get inspired and it's also an amazing confidence booster to you! This goes for any other progress you make with your pieces as well. Don't be a stranger once we're done—we're so happy for you!

We recommend creating
your own copy
of our final edited product wherever you need it, as we won't keep that Google Doc around forever. In order to reduce the risk of losing the Doc from us deleting it on our end, you should most definitely create a personal copy and use it from there. We unfortunately won't be held responsible if it's lost after emailing it to you.

If you're feeling up to it, leave a review of our work! There's no star rating—just you and your words. We appreciate any and all feedback, especially because we're new to the game.
In addition to this, don't be afraid to send us an email regarding your opinion of our work. We do ask that even if the adjustments aren't to your liking, you remain kind and courteous to the editor. We dedicate time out of our day to focus on your piece because we enjoy it, but it's not enjoyable when someone is rude to us.

Please know that editing takes time, especially if you request us to work on a longer piece, but we do have things happening outside of this business. Though we do understand the importance of keeping personal life and business life separate, there will come times where we'll take a little longer to complete a project. Sometimes things get busy! Again, we ask that you stay kind and patient as we complete your project. We’ll keep you updated on time constraints and other factors that’ll impact our progress.

One thing you may have noticed here is the lack of quotas, so let us inform you that we won't be giving set deadlines when you hire us. This is because our length of time may vary due to things outside of 9 Line Editing, as life is unpredictable. We do work on your manuscript often and we
normally
don't take more than two weeks (if that, but it depends on how much we're taking on at once), but if the time comes where things get out of hand, we'll inform you as soon as possible. You can also see how busy we are on the homepage. If you have a necessary deadline, please communicate with us and we’ll work something out!

Please understand that 9 Line Editing
does not guarantee the success of publishing.
As we're just starting out as a freelance business, we're not in collaboration with any publishing companies; we’re an independent business trying to benefit writers. You are free to publish any edits we've made to your own project and you're not obligated to recognize us (though it would provide us an amazing opportunity), but we can't ensure that publishing companies will accept your manuscript.

Last but not least, we're here for
you.
You're a writer and have come to us for aid, and words can't describe how thankful we are. You're not helping a famous editor who already has thousands of dollars, you're helping a small business thrive and make a name for itself. We thank you sincerely for visiting 9 Line Editing.
